I am honoured and privileged to send this message as the General Secretary of the College of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists of Sri Lanka and to welcome all participants attending the Annual Academic Congress 2021, a timely and an important event of our college calendar. We, the organizing committee, along with the college officials, have organized this event in order to make our vision, “To deliver high quality service in perioperative care in anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine, ensuring safety of patients and welfare of the workforce” a reality. This event will be the first move in accomplishing our mission, ”To ensure high quality clinical care service and safety of patients through education, training and capacity building of the workforce
while upholding the welfare of the membership by implementing a strategic plan.”
We have organized an attractive two-day educational session followed by four post congress workshops. We are greatly honoured to have a number of reputed speakers from overseas and Sri Lanka, who will be imparting their knowledge related to anaesthesia, critical care and pain medicine.
